Why modular here
Repeatability: one plan built many times off the same jigs, so the tenth house matches the first
Entry-level pricing: a repeatable plan helps keep first-time buyers in reach
Because every cottage came off the same jigs, the tenth house was built to the same tolerances as the first — the detail buyers notice in trim, cabinet reveals, and door swings.
The community needed entry-level product that still looked like the custom homes around it: gabled craftsman fronts, vaulted ceilings, and open living space.
A single cottage plan was engineered once and repeated, with buyers choosing siding color, cabinet finish, and countertops from a fixed upgrade list instead of a blank custom sheet.
Cottages set and finished in about a week each, which let the developer release lots faster than the market could absorb comparable stick-built inventory.
